STARVED ROCK — An Indiana man was killed after falling 50 feet at Starved Rock State Park Saturday afternoon. Authorities were called to the scene around 2:30 pm Saturday after the 24 year old man fell at Pontiac Canyon. Police say the man, whose name is being withheld pending notification but is reportedly from Schererville, apparently was walking off the marked trail when the fall occurred.
