OGLESBY – Nearly 900,000 people were in attendance at Starved Rock State Park this summer, according to officials. In comparison to last year, attendance this summer comes in around 200,000 people less. According to Starved Rock Coordinator Debbie McAdams, excessive humidity could be the result of the drop in attendance, however, she is hopeful for fall attendance to pick up with several events happening in October. Last year over 220,000 people visited the state park during October.
