Spring Valley Woman Critically Injured In Fire

A Spring Valley woman is in critical condition after a fire last night.  Spring Valley Police say shortly after eight p.m. they were called to an apartment on West Saint Paul Street for a possible fire.  After they arrived, police learned that two residents had driven themselves to the hospital, and police say there was no fire damage to the apartment.  One of the residents, a 47 year old woman, had her clothing catch fire, and was transferred to a Rockford Hospital and was in critical condition at last report.  Another resident, a 22 year old man, was treated and released with burns to his hands.
