Shooting incident reported near Streator

KERNAN – A shooting incident is being investigated near Streator.  On Friday evening the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office was called to a residence in Kernan east of Streator for a report of shots fired.  No injuries were reported, however, a search warrant was executed at an address in Kernen, where evidence was gathered.  One person of interest was being interviewed as of Saturday morning.    No charges have been filed as of yet.  Sheriff Tom Templeton said in a press release “The timely response by deputies to the reported shooting and victim interviews were vital to locating the person of interest and securing of the scene along with evidence recovery”
