WATERMAN – A Sheridan woman is dead after a two vehicle crash Thursday in DeKalb County. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office say that a juvenile from Leland was traveling northbound on Route 23 near Preserve Road outside of Waterman when for unknown reasons they allegedly crossed the center line and struck a southbound vehicle driven by 53-year-old Denise Wilhelm of Sheridan. The collision injured the juvenile and a passenger in Wilhelm’s vehicle, who were taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Denise Wilhelm was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office and DeKalb County Coroner’s Office.
