PERU – Organizational Charts were presented to the LaSalle-Peru Fraternal Order of Police for Shared Services. The LaSalle-Peru Shared services is an initiative for both city’s Fraternal order of Police to share their services among the two cities, with plans for one jurisdiction facility that could also house the Illinois Regional Dispatch Center. Spring Valley and Oglesby’s FOP were once apart of the committee but refrained to continue with the plans. In a shared service committee meeting on Tuesday, Finance Director John Duncan briefly discussed his 3rd meeting with La-Salle-Peru’s FOP. Duncan presented what he would call a road map for shared service personnel, providing them with a concept ONLY organizational chart for the shifts of Patrol and Detective Divisions. The chart shows how officers would be organized ranging from 46 sworn officers down to how 39 sworn officers could be situated. Duncan says he will meet again with both city’s sworn law enforcement officers to hear their thoughts and input.
