Rural LaSalle County Fires Under Investigation

LOSTANT – Two rural fires southwest of Tonica last night near a previous fire from Tuesday evening are under investigation by the State Fire Marshall this morning. The Lostant Fire Department was called to a fire in the 100 Block of North 14th Road around 11 PM Thursday night, followed soon after by a call for the Tonica Fire Department to respond the 200 block of North 17th Road for another structure on fire near where a church burned Tuesday. Smoke could still be seen Friday morning coming from one of the locations in Hope Township Friday morning.
