Route 23 through Ottawa to be resurfaced and paved

OTTAWA – Commissioner of Public Improvements James Less announcedthat Route 23 through Ottawa would be resurfaced and paved this summer. He explained that the Illinois Department of Transportation would get to work in the next couple of weeks to improve the road, which would be under construction through the summer. The construction will take place on Fremont Street just north of the railroad tracks south through McKinley Road and should be finished by October.
