STEWARD – A Rochelle man is dead and another person is injured after a single vehicle crash in Lee County. According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, they were called on Wednesday morning to Steward road north of Steward where they found a truck had left the roadway and overturned. Authorities say a 27-year-old passenger was injured and taken to an area hospital. The driver, 34-year-old John Zimmerman, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is still under investigation.
