MORRIS – Republican State Senator Sue Rezin has been chosen to be the new Minority Spokesperson for the Senate Education Committee and the Senate Human Rights Committee for the 102nd Illinois General Assembly. She will also be continuing her role as the Minority Spokesperson for the Senate Energy and Public Utilities Committee. State Senator Rezin has served as the Senate Energy and Public Utilities minority spokesperson since 2013. Rezin will also continue her leadership role on the Senate Executive Committee and serve as a member of the Health and Insurance committees during the current General Assembly.
“It is an honor to continue as the Minority Spokesperson for the Senate Energy and Public utilities Committee. I look forward to representing the interests of Illinois energy and pushing to ensure that our state maintains its completive edge while making sure we balance the cost of power,” said Sen. Rezin. “As a long-standing member of the Senate Education Committee, I am excited to take on the challenges that come with being its Minority Spokesperson. I also look forward to seeing what my new position with the Human Rights Committee will bring.”
