SPRINGFIELD – State Senator Sue Rezin has been selected as the Deputy Minority Leader of the Illinois State Senate Republican Caucus. The Morris Republican was appointed by State Senator Dan McConchie last week. Rezin, who has served in the Illinois Senate since 2010, was previously serving in leadership as Assistant Republican Leader.
“It’s an honor to be selected as Deputy Leader. I am pleased to have Dan’s confidence and look forward to serving in this new role,” said Sen. Rezin. “There is no denying that we are at a crossroads as a party and a state. I believe Dan is the person best equipped to guide us down a new and different path. I am looking forward to working with Dan as his Deputy Leader to help rebuild our organization and our state.”
