Residents of Illinois should refrain from travel advises IDPH

Studstill Media

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health is strongly urging residents for the next three weeks to stay home whenever possible and to eliminate nonessential travel. They advise all residents to work with their employer to try to work from home as much as possible, and to make all trips just for essential errands only. They also noted that attending even small gatherings that mix households or traveling to areas with high infection is not advised and potentially dangerous. The Veterans Day announcement came as they gave an update to the outbreak at the LaSalle Veterans’ Home, where over 140 residents and staff have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
