LASALLE – A technical rescue team is currently on the scene of a partial building collapse that occurred on 1st and Tonti Street in LaSalle Monday morning. Just after 10 AM the MABAS 25 division was called to the abandoned 1001 1st Street building that collapsed. No injuries were reported however, LaSalle Fire Chief Jerry Janick says a rescue team is performing searches of the building for life underneath the rubble.
Janick says once the searches are complete demolition and clean up work of the back end of the building will follow.
