Rail feasibility report press conference to be held in Utica

 
PEORIA – The results of a feasibility study and survey into passenger rail service from Peoria to Chicago are set to be released on Thursday. A brief presentation will be held at Utica Village Hall at 11:30 to share the findings. Peoria Mayor Rita Ali, along with state and area officials have been working since August 2021 to advance passenger rail service connecting Illinois 7th largest city with Chicago, with a route that may travel through North Central Illinois, including potential stops in LaSalle-Peru, Ottawa, Utica and Morris.
