Princeton shelter asks for donations, amid non-essential business closure

By: Ian Livesey

PRINCETON – Friends of Strays in Princeton is asking the public for donations to support the shelter during the coronavirus pandemic. The non-profit no-kill animal shelter says the resale store for the shelter is currently shut down because it’s considered a non-essential business. Gov. J.B. Pritzker issued a shelter-in-place order on Friday for residents in the effort to stop the pandemic and issues all non-essential businesses to close. Friends of Stays says if they are shut down until April 7th, they could lose thousands of dollars. For those willing to help, you can send directly via their PayPal account at fod3@frontier.com or P.O. Box 315, Princeton, Illinois.
