Princeton Keeps Mayor, Raises Sales Tax

PRINCETON – Mayor Joel Quiram returns to guide Princeton for the future handily beating opponent Ray Swanson in the spring election by 400 votes.  Princeton residents also voted to approve a quarter percent sales tax increase, bringing their obligation up to 8%.  The increased revenue will be used for streets and other infrastructure repairs.  Jerry Neumann and Robin Swift both got an equal number of votes, 771, for the Princeton City Commissioners seat.
