STERLING – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car in Whiteside County on Sunday night. The Sterling Police Department say the individual was struck around 10:15 PM by a vehicle driven by a 23-year-old Sterling man in the 1800 Block of West Lincolnway. Authorities say the pedestrian allegedly moved into the path of the vehicle. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification. No citations have been issued and the crash remains under investigation.
