OTTAWA – A traffic stop Sunday led to the arrest of an Ottawa man on heroin charges. According to Ottawa police, a traffic stop in the 500 block of State Street began an investigation and search of a vehicle. A passenger, 47-year-old Levolia Pointer, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for heroin, each a class four felony. He was taken to the LaSalle County Jail and is being held on $25,000 bond.
