OTTAWA – A Voice of America correspondent from Ottawa has won an award for journalism from the Press Club for his coverage of agricultural issues. Kane Farabaugh, the VOA Midwest correspondent, received the first place honor for his year long series “Between Trade Agreements and Tariffs: The American Farmer” in “TV Business/Consumer Reporting”. Farabaugh had previously won third place in the National Headliner Award Competition in 2017 for the documentary, Faith in Freedom: The Journey of Muslim-American Candidates. In 2018 he, along with Roger Amm, released “A Golden Cross to Bear”, a documentary series about a Pontiac soldiers experience in World War I.
