One death, 77 new cases of COVID-19 in Livingston County


PONTIAC  – 77 residents of Livingston County have tested positive for COVID-19. One more resident has also died due to complications related to COVID-19. The individual was a male in his 40s. Livingston County Health
Department officials were notified of the new COVID-19 cases and death between January 9-11, 2021 in accordance with state and local public health protocol.
LCHD officials continue to work closely with the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), and have investigated and notified any individuals who may have had exposure to these individuals who tested positive for COVID-19. As of January 11, 2021, the LCHD has received 51,783 COVID-19 test results. Of that, 3,417 COVID-19 tests have been positive, 48,366 tests were negative, 3,175 of the previously reported cases have been removed from isolation, 180 cases remain active, and, sadly, 62 cases have resulted in death due to complications related to COVID-19.
