OGLESBY- The Oglesby Fire Department warned the public of a phone scam on Monday. They reported that residents have been receiving calls from someone claiming to be the Oglesby Fire Department and offering to check smoke detector batteries. The caller also tries to accept donations over the phone for the department. Authorities remind everyone not to share personal details over the phone.
