Oglesby and IVCC discuss possible future solar farm

OGLESBY – Oglesby Mayor Dom Rivara and the Illinois Valley Community College board’s facilities committee have been discussing the feasibility of partnering with the city on a solar farm on campus. The Mayor said that Oglesby needs a solar farm to increase its renewable energy capabilities. They proposed that locating the farm at IVCC could provide an educational opportunity for the college’s renewable energy program and save the college money on utilities.
