Northwestern Illinois including Lee and DeKalb Counties face stricter COVID-19 restrictions

Graphic IDPH

DIXON – The Illinois Department of Public Health have announced that starting Sunday not only is indoor dining not allowed in Northwestern Illinois, but there is a limit to just 10 people at any social gathering. The stricter mitigation rules are going into place due to the reported surging positivity rate of new cases of COVID-19, which is now at 11.9% for the counties of DeKalb, Lee, Ogle and six others. If the region does not see an improvement, Governor J.B. Pritzker warned even more stringent measures may have to occur before the region reopens.
