LASALLE – No injuries were reported after an early Friday morning semi-tractor trailer crash blocked lanes on Interstate 80 near LaSalle. The Illinois State Police say a 55-year-old Chicago man was traveling eastbound near the Utica interchange when he reportedly overturned the truck after leaving the roadway just before 5 a.m. The trailer was badly damaged, but the load of cereal was not spilled. Interstate 80 was fully reopened around 9 a.m. The driver was ticketed for allegedly having been driving in excess of 8 hours without rest and improper lane usage.
