No injuries in Cedar Point building fire

CEDAR POINT – No injuries were reported in a structure fire in Cedar Point on Monday. According to Cedar Point assistant fire chief Allen Haeffner, they were called just after 2:30 p.m. for reports of heavy black smoke coming from a 2 story commercial building.

The building sustained significant smoke and water damage. Peru, Tonica, LaSalle, Lostant, Standard, Hennepin, Wallace and Oglesby all helped in battling the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
