One death and multiple injuries reported in Route 6 crash

PERU – A Galva man is dead and others injured after a multiple vehicle crash on Route 6 in Peru on Thursday. According to the LaSalle County Coroner’s Office, 51-year-old Joseph L. Janz succumbed to his injuries after his involvement in a crash near 21 W. U.S Route 6 on the west end of Peru just before 12 p.m. An investigative autopsy will be conducted Friday. No word yet on the conditions of others involved. The incident is to be further investigated by authorities.
