PEORIA – Four teens were arrested during an investigation into car burglaries in Peoria Tuesday.   The Peoria Police Department say that a surveillance operation in the 3400 block of North Dries Lane at a car dealership led to the arrests.   Authorities say that on a previous date the dealership had keys to vehicles stolen, and allegedly the suspects had those keys and attempted to gain entry into the vehicles on the lot.  The suspects attempted to drive away in two stolen vehicles but were quickly apprehended by detectives without incident.

Four juvenile male suspects, ages 13 – 15, were transported to the Peoria Police Department Criminal Investigations Division for interview purposes.  The suspects were arrested for multiple offenses for multiple incidents including but not limited to: Motor Vehicle Theft, Motor Vehicle Theft Conspiracy, Obstructing Police, Business Burglary, and Possession of Stolen Property over $5000.

Last week four juveniles from Peoria were arrested for vehicle thefts.
