OTTAWA – The city of Ottawa authorized an access and remediation agreement with utility companies to clean up a former industrial site. At Tuesday night’s council meetin a resolution was passed to move forward with agreements to clean up an old mill race site, formerly the old central school property. Com Ed and Nicor Gas will be responsible for the cleanup of pollution left from the industrial plants. Mayor Aussem says the project will begin in November and last up to a year.
