MENDOTA – Taxes will be on the rise in Mendota. The city council approved a raised levy at Monday’s meeting. Alderman and chairman of finance, John Holland announced the total levied amount at over $1.8 million. That would be a 4.7% increase from last year. Holland stated that a home valued around $100,000 would average a $34 increase, and a home worth $150,000 would see a $51 increase.
