Livingston County confirms 11th COVID-19 related death

PONTIAC – The Livingston County Health Department confirmed 27 new COVID-19 cases as well as one additional death. The individual, a female in her 70s, is the 11th coronavirus related death in the county. Of those new cases confirmed on Thursday, 16 were residents of the county while 11 were inmates of Pontiac Correctional Center. All of them are recovering in isolation. The county health department reports that it is working with the Illinois Department of Public Health to notify those who may have been exposed to those with COVID-19 and reminds all residents to adhere to the required precautions in order to slow the spread.
