LaSalle, Peru pass ordinances to act in the event of a state of emergency


LASALLE,PERU – The cities of LaSalle and Peru passed ordinances that would allow them to make necessary action during a state of emergency. The enabling ordinance recommended by the Illinois Municipal League, is in response to the COVID_19 pandemic. A state of emergency lasts up to a week and in the event, LaSalle, Peru officials are granted authority to respond immediately to situations as they arise.  LaSalle Mayor Jeff Grove expresses his gratitude to surrounding cities for coming together.
