LaSalle County’s Naloxone Program saves over 50 lives

LaSalle County Naloxone Program

OTTAWA – LaSalle County’s Naloxone Program saved 52 lives in 2018. According to the program’s annual report, nearly 100 doses of Narcan Nasal Spray was used by law enforcement and other partners in 54 overdose response incidents, representing half of all opioid overdose responses in LaSalle County in 2018. Currently, there are 16 departments enrolled in the program with a total of 16 new officers trained throughout the county.
