LaSalle County Traffic Stop Leads to Cocaine Arrest

OTTAWA – The Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team announced an arrest on Thursday of a Streator man on a felony warrant for unlawful delivery. According to Tri-Dent Thursday afternoon a LaSalle County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop south of Ottawa on Route 23. As a result of the stop they arrested 29-year-old Juan Valentin Serna Rodriguez and charged him with a Felony cocaine charge after he allegedly delivered purported drugs to undercover agents as part of a prior investigation. Serna has a bond set at $1,000,000 and according to the LaSalle County Sherrif’s Office, he is also being held pending review by Immigration authorities.
