OTTAWA – LaSalle County topped 10,000 positive COVID-19 cases on Friday. According to The LaSalle County Health Department coronavirus updates, a total of four deaths and 307 cases were reported this week. In addition, the health department gave over 2,000 COVID-19 vaccinations at the Illinois Valley Community College clinics so far. The health department is reminding residents that they are prioritizing vaccines to those ages 65 and older, therefore, emails are currently going to those individuals. No other sub-group is receiving emails at this time. Eligible people in Phase 1B who choose to sign-up for a notification form are put on a list in the order in which they signed up.
