Joliet man arrested after allegedly robbing bank customer in Morris

MORRIS – A Joliet man has been arrested for robbery after allegedly taking an envelope of cash from a person who had just withdrawn funds from a bank. The Morris Police Department say they were called to a bank in the 1900 block of North Division Street Wednesday afternoon for a reported robbery. The victim claimed they had made a withdrawal and was leaving the bank when the suspect allegedly grabbed the envelope and fled in a vehicle and traveled on I-80. Thursday morning police say they located at a motel in Romeoville 26-year-old Marquadis Turner of Joliet and charged him with robbery. He was taken to the Grundy County Jail.
