OGLESBY- The two Oglesby Firefighters and an EMT that were injured during a water rescue training exercise on the Vermillion River have been released from the hospital. Around 7 PM Wednesday two ambulances were called to the Oglesby boat launch next to the Ed Hand Bridge for what was described as an explosion.  According to assistant Chief Steve Maltas all three were taken to IVCH.  The Oglesby Fire Department stated that the inflatable boat ruptured violently.  The department announced Thursday that the investigation is ongoing as to the cause of the incident.
