Illinois Valley Leads Group and Foundation establish second scholarship at IVCC

OGLESBY – The Illinois Valley Leads Group and Foundation have established a second scholarship at Illinois Valley Community College. The annual “IV Leads Scholarship for the Trades” is open to students age 22 to 40 in Career and Technical Education programs such as Automotive Technology, Computer Aided Engineering and Design, Electronics, Electricity, Heating Ventilation and Air-Conditioning, Manufacturing (including Computer Numerical Control, Industrial Maintenance and Machinist Tool & Die) and Welding. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually starting this fall. Deadline to apply for fall awards is 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10 at www.ivcc.edu/scholarships.
“We are delighted to again partner with IV Leads Group and their Foundation to support adult students,” said IVCC President Jerry Corcoran. “This award will provide much-needed support to students pursuing high-demand technical careers.”
Founded in 2016 and established as a nonprofit in 2020, IV Leads Group serves young professionals age 22-to-45 looking to enhance their leadership abilities; it focuses on Leadership Education and Development Skills.
