IDPH reports under 9,000 new COVID-19 cases

SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health confirmed the lowest daily COVID-19 case count the state has seen since the fourth of the month. 8,922 new confirmed and probable cases were reported as well as 140 additional deaths, which included 6 individuals from LaSalle County that were previously reported by the county health department. Currently, the IDPH has seen a total of 606,771 cases and 11,014 since the start of the pandemic.
