SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 69 coronavirus related deaths on Wednesday, the highest daily COVID-19 related death count the state has seen since mid-June. 4,342 new cases of COVID-19 were also confirmed by the IDPH. This is the 7th day in a row Illinois has had daily case counts over 3,000, as cases had remained under that since September 4th. In total, Illinois has reported 355,217 coronavirus cases since the start of the pandemic, and 9,345 deaths.
