SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation Police trained with new air boats on the Fox and Illinois Rivers, last weekend. Officers and Sergeants trained in operating the air boats on dry land, snow covered ice and transitional operations from ice to open water. Driving over rough ice flows was also practiced.

 

On the weekend of February 2nd, Conservation Police Officers and Sergeants trained with the new air boats on portions of the Fox River and Illinois River. Boat operation on dry land, snow covered ice, and transitional operations from ice to open water was performed. Additionally, driving over rough ice flows was practiced.
