OTTAWA – Authorities have identified the woman found deceased in rural Ottawa on Tuesday. According to the LaSalle County Sheriff’s Office, they were called to the 1400 block of Illinois Route 71 for a body located in a pit mine operated by US Silica. The LaSalle County Coroner announced that 35-year-old Ashley Marie Shuler was found dead at the scene after an apparent fall. The incident is still under investigation.
