Home damaged by fire in Cherry

 

CHERRY – Sunday morning the Cherry Fire Department battled a house fire in the 600 block East Lincoln Avenue. Around 10:45 AM they were called for a report of the structure fire and called out a mutual aid box alarm, requesting support from Spring Valley, Arlington, Ladd, LaMoille, Seatonville and Malden Fire Departments. No injuries were reported but the damage to the home was extensive.  The cause of the fire which may have started in the garage, remains under investigation.
