STREATOR – An investigation into heroin sales in Streator by the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team has left one man facing four felony drug charges. According to Tri-dent, on Tuesday they were conducting a controlled purchase in the 200 block of West 10th Street in Streator which led to the arrest of two persons seen leaving a residence on unlawful delivery charges. Tri-dent also had a warrant for that residence where inside they found 28-year-old Alexander T. King of Streator. During the search items purported to be used in packaging heroin and crack cocaine were found. King was charged with four felony drug charges, in part due to alleged prior deliveries of heroin to Tri-Dent agents on several occasions. Four others arrested during the investigation face a number of charges, including possession and intent to deliver, and one man was taken into custody on an unrelated charge. King is currently in the LaSalle County Jail with a $750,000 bond.
