Health Department Begins Yearly Search For West Nile Virus

OTTAWA – The first day of May marks the start of West Nile Virus season, according to the LaSalle County Health Department, and they are once again asking for help from the public to monitor the disease.   They will begin collecting dead crows, blue jays, and robins that appeared to have died from non injury causes in the previous 48 hours.  For additional information on West Nile virus, please contact the LaSalle County Health Department.
