Governor warns counties and cities who try to open early that they will face punishment

CHICAGO – Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker on Wednesday in his daily update on the coronavirus pandemic, gave a warning to businesses who are opening early ahead of the phased plan.  He noted businesses and professionals licensed by state agencies will be held accountable and counties could not receive FEMA funds.   The Governor said that the State Department of Professional Regulation will use the resources they have available to penalize businesses not following the executive order, including revoking business licenses and other state certifications.
