GoFund Me created for family of Starved Rock fall victim

KANKAKEE – Family and friends of a man who lost his life at Starved Rock State Park have created a GoFundMe on behalf of his wife and two sons he left behind. On October 19th, 30-year-old Daniel J. King of Bradley was off-trail near the Council Overhang when he fell over 40 feet. King was part of a film crew that had a permit to work in the park. He left behind a 3 and 4-year-old son. All donations will go directly to his wife, Bre Menard, and the funds will be dedicated to the boys’ future education and artistic pursuits. Currently, over $4,800 of a $10,000 goal has been raised.
