STREATOR – A former NBA player will be speaking at Streator Township High School on Wednesday to talk about his journey through addiction. Chris Herren, who played with the Denver Nuggets and Boston Celtics, will discuss his long term recovery from addiction since 2008 and talk about wellness. Other area resource organizations will also be sharing information with those who attend. The event is being organized by SHS Operation Snowball, The Illinois Association for Behavioral Health, Live Well Streator and other community sponsors. Parents, friends, family, students and community members are invited to attend the talk at 6 PM in the Streator Township High School Auditorium.
