LELAND – The Leland Police Department had a special guest on patrol Thursday. Former Leland Police Chief Mel Inman, who served the community from 1974 to 1978, stopped by and toured the station and rode along with current Police Chief Jason Bragg. Inman, who also ran a diner in the community, pointed out spots of interest and was amazed at how law enforcement has changed over the decades. According to a social media post by the department, when asked if he wanted his old job back, he said “I think you boys have things pretty well under control here”
