Fees going up for Illinois Valley Regional Dispatch

MENDOTA – The City of Mendota will be paying more over the next five years to be a part of the ongoing intergovernmental agreement for a regional dispatch center. The yearly cost to share telecommunicators with LaSalle, Peru, and Oglesby will eventually increase by $20,000. The Illinois Valley Regional Dispatch Center board of directors requested the increased rates to be phased in over the next five years. For 2022, the yearly fee will be $153,223 for Mendota, increasing to $175,960 by the end of August of 2026.
