OTTAWA – No more feather banners in downtown Ottawa. You may be familiar with the advertising flags that are structured like feathers, ranging anywhere from 10 to 20 feet tall. On Tuesday night the city approved putting a restriction to them in downtown Ottawa, because according to Mayor Dan Aussem, business owners have been placing them in the city right-of-way, and they’re simply unsightly.
